Dealerships, service & mobility
Fill the service bays. Answer the roadside call.
A service department loses bookings to unanswered phones while the advisors are with customers at the desk. The call is simple: what is wrong, when can you come, which car is it.
An illustrative reference architecture, not a customer
case study. No organisation is named and no deployment is described - this is
what the layers look like for a automotive organisation,
so you can map it onto your own estate.

Only the bottom layer is specific to automotive. The
three above it are identical in every deployment, which is the point: the
voice layer does not need to know what industry it is in, only which systems
it is allowed to reach and what it may say.
What it changes
Mechanisms, not projections. Each of these follows from something structural
about the work, so you can check whether it holds for your own queues.
Bookings stop depending on who is free at the deskThe phone is answered while advisors are with customers, which is exactly when it currently is not.
Recall and maintenance campaigns actually completeOutbound at volume with rescheduling built in, rather than a letter that is ignored.
Bay utilisation improves for a boring reasonEmpty slots are offered to callers instead of being lost to voicemail.
After-hours enquiries convertMost service calls happen when the customer is not at work, which is when the department is closed.
What the agent actually does
Service bookingIdentify the vehicle by rego, offer real bay availability, book it, and confirm what to bring.
Service remindersOutbound recalls and scheduled maintenance, rescheduling in the same conversation.
Roadside triageCapture location and symptoms, dispatch, and stay factual about arrival time.
What keeps it deployable
Vehicle identity before historyRego or VIN verified before any service record is spoken.
Safety-critical escalationSymptoms that suggest a safety fault transfer to a person immediately.
Marketing consent respectedRetention campaigns wash against consent and do-not-call.
Service departments are busiest at the desk and on the phone at the same hour, and only one of those has a person assigned.
